Ben Thompson is the founder of Built Form Developments, bringing over a decade of experience delivering complex residential, commercial and mixed-use projects across the east coast of Australia.
His career has been built across both sides of the industry — from hands-on construction and site delivery through to developer-side project leadership, feasibility, funding strategy and full lifecycle management. This dual experience has provided a clear understanding of how projects succeed, where they fail, and how decisions made early impact commercial outcomes at every stage.

Ben recognised that many developers and builders operate without the integrated knowledge required to effectively manage both the commercial and delivery aspects of a project. Traditional project management often lacks real construction depth, while builder-led approaches can lack broader development and capital alignment.
Built Form was created to bridge that gap.
Today, Ben works directly with developers, private clients, lenders and capital partners to provide client-side development and project management services, with a focus on complex, high-risk and underperforming projects. His approach is grounded in practical delivery experience, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to driving clear, controlled and profitable outcomes.
